Periyar Maniammai University (PMU) is a university in the town of Vallam Thanjavur, Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India.
Naturally, higher education leads to promote research. In our university, potential Resource Personnel and necessary facilities are available in all Departments and Centre to carry out research. We do research in Basic & Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Rural Development Technology, Humanities and Management Sciences which lead to Scientific, Technological and Societal development.
Many of our research projects are funded / supported by various National/International Governmental/Non-Governmental Departments/Agencies. At present, specifically our research is progressing in the fields of Renewable Energy, Solid Waste Management, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Wireless Technology, Networks, Optical Communication, Grid Computing, Man Machine Interface, Social Engineering etc. in order to meet Local, National and Global challenges.
To strengthen the research activities of our university, we appeal and submit open invitation to expert research personnel in different Government/Private Industry/Institution/Firm across our nation to support us as a Research Supervisor and their facilities as off campus research centre of PMU.
Overall our efforts are channelized to yield a High Quality Research which could make Periyar Maniammai University’s ambition towards our Nations’ Dream of Vision 2020 effectively.
